Young athletes and their parents get the chance to find out more about the new GB Youth Academy on an open day next month.
The event, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grantham College, will present both the Academy and the Grantham College Table Tennis Academy.
It will contain details about the application process and the input requirements, as well as a possibility to participate in a practice session with the new Gbya coach and table tennis England performance coaches.
There will also be the chance to meet education partners and explore study options, a tour of the accommodation and a Q&A with staff of the college and Tennis England.

The Academy, in collaboration with Grantham College and Charles Read Academy, will be launched in February 2026.
About 10 players per year, from 12-18 years, will be able to combine education with the first-class practice and support they need in their search to win medals on the international stage and to create a stock of quality players in the senior England and GB squadrons.
The head of the GB Youth Academy will lead the group and will deliver a training and international competition program, with players having access to 20+ hours a week, with minimal involvement expectations to be part of the program.
