Champion Hills Club reopens all 18 holes, debut clubhouse expansion, pickleball -jobs

Champion Hills Club, the most important golf community of Western North Carolina, goes the heart in a Gulf of Momentum in the summer. In the middle of the excitement is the acclaimed golf course designed by Tom Fazio, which has been reopened and plays better than ever. In the meantime, the club has invested in two projects that promise can already be further increased exceptional lifestyle experience.

“From the very beginning, 2025 would be a large year for us,” said the chairman of the board Milan Turk Jr. From the club “We had important plans for Hurricane Helene, which created unexpected challenges for the entire region, but we never stopped making progress. Now it is ahead at full speed.”

A mountain master work, renewed

The beloved Tom Fazio -Lay -Out of Champion Hills, generally considered one of the best designs of the architect, returned to the full game in May with the completion of the 18th hole, after a phased reopening in the Nasleep of Hurrican Helene.

The result? A layout that retains his characteristic charm, while he has increased beauty and playability.

“Repairs to streambanks and hills have made the track safer and in many places, still visually amazing,” Turk said. “Especially holes 15 and 16 are now absolutely breathtaking, now more dramatic, more photogenic and just as playable.”

In real Champion Hills Club -Mode, the improvements were led by the Fazio design team, some of whom built up the course more than 30 years ago. “That continuity was invaluable,” Turk remarked. “They understood both the site and the original vision, which helped us to come out of work with something very special.”

An extensive patio from the clubhouse offers the best chair in the house

The club also revealed a considerably extensive patio space in the clubhouse, the heartbeat of the thriving social scene of the club.

With more comfortable seats, improved lines of sight, updated handrails and improved shadow structures, the extensive patian room offers the perfect place to collect, dine and enjoy the famous mountain zonsets of Champion Hills.

“We have added about 30 percent more square meters and it has made a huge difference,” Turk said. “Every social event now has a terrace component. The views are unbeatable and the fire place has become a natural place for people to linger, to toast and share stories.”

Pickleball joins the party

Champion Hills Club also opened three brand new Pickleball courts in July and added a dynamic new layer to the recreational offer of the club.

With more than 25 percent of the members of the club who were already participating in Pickleball, the addition was both with members and future -oriented. Champion Hills Club has also brought in a full-time pickleball professional to supervise lessons, competitions and lively social play.

“Pickleball is incredibly popular because it is competitive and fun, but it is also one of the most social sports there are,” Turk said. “It fits perfectly with who we are like a club: active, involved and community -oriented.”
