Q: You go to a CFFC -Welterweight title fight with an undefeated record. How does it feel to reach this point in your career?

Q: Training at Kill Cliff FC places you next to the best of the sport. What is the biggest lesson or advantage that you have taken from that environment?
Kevin Pease: “It is extremely useful when when you pursue your goals to be surrounded by like -minded individuals. Everyone is hard to succeed and concentrate on doing the right things to get that result while the people around them do the same. It was an integral part of my development as a professional.”
At Kill Cliff FC, Pease trains alongside stars such as Gilbert Burns, Kamaru Usman and Aung La Nsang led by Henri Hoft and Greg Jones. He said that the atmosphere makes it impossible not to increase his own standards.
4. CFFC 147: Kevin Pease more than just a grappler
Q: Several of your victories did you come to yourself as a grappler, or do you see your game as a better completed?
Kevin Pease: “I trained to be a well -completed hunter, but I started as a wrestler … I feel that my biggest strengths like hunter are struggling.”
Although Pease’s struggling has been a proven weapon, his work at Kill Cliff FC has expanded its striking and overall versatility.
5. The story behind “Sweet Peas”
Q: Can you tell us the story behind your nickname, “Sweet Peas”?
Kevin Pease: “Pernell Whitaker is one of the biggest Southpaws in combat sports. His style is a huge inspiration of mine because I am also a Southpaw. In addition, my last name is Pease, what my mother’s family name is from Ireland. So the name felt like it was natural fit and I wanted to be the representative in Mma’s sport.”
6. From PFL to CFFC 147
Q: You have participated in both CFFC and PFL. What has the PFL experience added to your growth as a hunter?
Kevin Pease: “CFFC prepared me for the fierce lights of PFL, but PFL was a different level. The stage, the platform, the compensation to do your work – everything was surfaced, which is the dream of every competitor. It was the experience of a life.”
7. Kevin Pease’s holding style on CFFC 147
Q: For fans you haven’t seen fighting yet, how would you describe your style?
Kevin Pease: “I would describe my style as a persistent. I am looking to win every second of the fight and to do everything I can do within the lines to do this.”
