The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived forward Chris Livingston, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. Livingston signed a two-way contract with the team on October 31, 2025.
Livingston has played in three games for Cleveland this season, averaging 3.0 points in 5.7 minutes per game. During his short tenure, he struggled for consistent playing time behind a deep Cavaliers roster.
In the G League, Livingston showed more production with the Cleveland affiliate, posting 16.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 11 games while shooting 43.6% from the field. His performance followed strong performances with the Wisconsin Herd, where he averaged 18.3 points and 8.4 rebounds in 2024-25.
Cleveland enters Wednesday’s action with a 28-20 record and is fifth in the Eastern Conference, led by Donovan Mitchell’s 29.5 points per game and Evan Mobley’s 17.9 points with 8.8 rebounds. Darius Garland contributes 18.0 points and 6.9 assists per game, anchoring the Cavaliers’ backcourt.
The team’s forward rotation remains stacked with De’Andre Hunter, Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson, leaving Livingston with limited opportunities to earn extended minutes. Jarrett Allen and Mobley continue to provide strong production in the frontcourt, while Tyrese Proctor and Craig Porter Jr. adding depth at guard positions.
