Carmelo Anthony pays the ultimate respect to Kevin Garnett

Carmelo Anthony pays the ultimate respect to Kevin Garnett

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett had very published verbal quarrels during a match between Melo’s Knicks and Garnett’s Celtics in 2013. There is speculation about what Garnett said to activate Anthony and to get so angry with him. The two were able to finally solve things, apparently enough so that Anthony now absorbs him in his all time of 5.

Carmelo Anthony comprises Kevin Garnett on his all time from 5

Anthony was admitted to the basketball Hall of Fame last weekend. He joins Garnett in Springfield while the big ticket was anchored in 2020.

Fanatics recently asked the 2012-13 scoring champion of which his all time of 5 would exist. Carmelo mentioned his choices such as Derrick Rose, Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett and Shaquille O’Neal.

Of course many people went to social media and wondered how Anthony could leave both Michael Jordan and LeBron James 5. He only mentioned boys he played against, and Jordan’s last season with the wizards was the year before Melo was a Rookie in the NBA.

There is no more surprisingly included, because the two famous friends are. Yet Anthony was teammates with both Rose and Iverson, so he might have wanted to record them. Many athletes who call their starting 5 are not necessarily calling who they believe they are the best players of all time, but rather their favorite players to look/play against/play. If Melo was asked to name the best players of all time, MJ and LeBron would probably be recorded.

Garnett has almost every Timberwolves record

Garnett on his starting line-up of all time is an appreciation for what the 21-year-old veteran did during his NBA career. The 6-foot-11 power Forward played his first 12 seasons with the Timberwolves before he also ended his career in Minnesota.

The list of awards that Garnett has collected with the wolves is apparently endless. He was named MVP of the competition in 2003-04 and ended twice as second place. During that first 12-year-old Stint, Garnett was named 10 All-Star, 8 All-NBA and 8 all-defensive teams. Look at the all time of the Timberwolves, and chances are that Garnett is on top of the statistical category that you are looking at.

While Tim Duncan usually gets the nod as the best current of all time, Garnett definitely has a case to be on the Power Forward Mount Rushmore. Greatness recognizes greatness, and that is the case where Melo appreciates KG’s work.
