Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner fills Destiny by reaching US Open Final – World Tennis Magazine

Novak Djokovic’s finish of the US Open Semifinals On Friday was a victory for the 38-year-old Serbian, even without winning a set.

Otherwise, starting the second set was by keeping serve and then breaking his opponent’s serve roughly the closest to a victory for Djokovic against Carlos Alcaraz. Oh, yes, there was the second set of tiebreak in which Novak quickly lost three of the first four points and then lost the tiebraker, 7-4.

The rest of the 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory of Alcaraz was a good habit for the 22-year-old Spaniard to take the final against the best Jannik Sinner.

Sinner had his own waltz

Of course Sinner had his own practical session the most road against the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassy. Apart from a hard-fought second set of loss, on paper Sinner’s 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 judgment, it didn’t look that difficult for the long, lean Italian. But in reality the game had the taste of one that could go in all directions, especially after the Sinner had to leave the court early in the second set.

As usual, the Final of Alcaraz Sinner becomes fairly common in Grand Slam events. Turn a coin and you may have the last Grand SLAM champion of 2025.

So what, this will be the third consecutive Grand Slam Final his well Alcaraz and Sinner, the first of that nature in the open era. And this winner will be number 1 in the world.

This final is won the eighth straight GS by Sinner or Alcaraz.

Sinner had already become one of the four men to play in four straight GS final, who became a member of Rod Laver, Roger Federer and Djokovic.

Alcaraz and Sinner in their own competition

And to think that Federer and Rafa Nadal were once the only ones in a class completely alone, which was actually true. Sinner and Alcaraz let it happen again.

There is something special about these two legends of the 2020s. First, they will probably prevent Djokovic from winning a 25one Grand Slam title.

Djokovic is just not the same player he was even five years ago, or maybe even last year.

Alcaraz has just played his match against Djokovic in this Grand Slam final. He didn’t seem to worry at all about playing one of the great ones of all time. Sometimes it seemed that Alcaraz only concentrated on the other side of the court in Sunday’s final. He played just good enough to keep Djokovic under his wings.
