The government of Canada issued an alert this Wednesday recommending its citizens avoid non-essential travel to Cuba and urging those on the island to leave the country due to increasing fuel shortages.
“Canadians are urged to leave the country while commercial flights remain available. Our government is working with airlines to help Canadians return home,” he said. in X Foreign Minister Anita Anand.
The travel warning explains that the “worsening shortages of fuel, electricity and basic commodities such as food, water and medicine” could also affect tourist centers. Moreover, he reminded that all Canadian airlines they suspended their services to Cuba.
