Interest in Coaching in Nottingham in March 2026

Veldhockey Canada (FHC) is looking for national coaches for the 2026 Masters Indoor World Cup To be detained Nottingham, UK from 26 – 31 March 2026.

Canada strives to send men’s and women’s master teams in the 35+ to 60+ age categories. We are looking for coaches for these potential teams. These are volunteer positions.

FHC is the national sports board that is responsible for the development, growth and promotion of field hockey in Canada. Under his responsibilities and in collaboration with the FHC Masters Committee and coordinators of the age group, FHC helps to select, prepare and promote the teams of Canada in the direction of delivering continuing stage performance in WMH Continental and World Cup competitions.

The Master’s program of FHC is itself financed by athletes selected for WMH Continental and World Cup teams. The costs of coaches of national and international air rates, accommodation at the event and one per day will be covered from the contributions of players (Amounts can be covered). In addition, coaches can be paid for a fee for practices, events and tournaments. The successful applicants are expected to select, develop and coach their team in the run -up to the 2026 Masters World Cup.

*The coaching agreements start in September 2025 and will continue until a month after the completion of the Masters World Cup 2026.

Coach managements include:

Supervision of an indoor, systematic, progressive training program for masters athletes (including mindset/indoor tactical consciousness, development of skills and fitness assessment) in combination with FHC coaching staff, other master coaches and the Master -Egtijdag group coordinators.

Team building, selection, preparation and presence with planned training camps, practices, events and tournaments. The most important attendance data/events are mentioned below.

At the end of each major competition, coaches are also expected to complete a post-tournament report that includes a summary of the event, together with any improvement recommendations.

Gentlemen:

  • Identification of athlete – The Athlete identification camps are expected to be held in Vancouver (TBD) Calgary (TBD) and Toronto (November 15-16) in November 2025
  • Selection of athlete -Tournaments of athlete selection are expected to be held in the various weekends of Jan-Mar in Duncan, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto
  • Course – Training events will be organized throughout the winter by coordinators of the age group, team managers and coaches in an individual age group and/or team base.

Women:

** Athletes who are unable to attend identification or selection camps personally are asked to send in references from coaches.

Experience and qualifications are preferred:

The ideal candidates will have experience with coaching with high performance and have a strong consultative, facilitation and decision-making skills and a desire to work with older age athletes.

The ideal candidate attributes and qualifications must be:

  • Appropriate Coach Education and certification -NCCP -Concurrence Development in training (working on the NCCP certification of the development of competition. For more information, see: https://www.fieldhockey.ca/coaching/coaching-resources/);
  • Strong leadership options and some experience with working with older athletes;
  • Knowledge of long -term development of athlete;
  • Canadian Safe Sport Course (CSSP) certificate that must be uploaded to F-Red- https://cces.myabsorb.com/#/Dashboard Code for FHC is FLD303
  • Demonstrable critical thinking related to planning and evaluation of fitness programs – work with FHC
  • Integrated Service Team led to create a program suitable for the age;
  • A good understanding of powerful sport;
  • Other combinations of training and experience can also be considered.

Terms and Conditions

The successful candidates must have memberships with a good reputation with a member PSO and FHC. Successful candidates must also provide a criminal check (dated in the past 3 years) As well as complete CSSP Safe Sport Training (completed in the past 2 years).

  • Then full of your Safe sports training And download your CSSP certificate. Attached is a PDF with the course instructions. The course takes about ½ hour to complete on the road with questions.
  • You must provide the following, so these have ready to upload before you start in F-Red:
  1. Criminal Record Check (dated in the past 3 years)
  2. CV
  3. Letter of application
  4. Valid passport
  5. Valid driver’s license
  6. Cces Safe Sport certificate (valid for 3 years) – Complete https://cces.ca/safe-sporteducation and download the certificate

Remark – You must provide all valid documents that are eligible for the position of the coach.
