The victory came during a working holiday for the young NSW-based star.

It followed the 25-year-old Victorian star James Herbertson who won in the Meadowlands during his journey a few months ago.

And of course former Aussies such as Andy and Todd McCarthy, Lauren Tritton and Brad Chisholm all achieved in different ways in different ways.

Callaghan has had enormous success in Australia with more than 800 victories, including seven at group 1 level.

He has previously talked about the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the McCarthy brothers and others and the US given a serious crack.

Back in a story from 2022, Callaghan said: “Absolutely. Certainly. I would definitely like to try it in the US if time is good. I look closely. I really admire the hard work Andy (McCarthy) if he was so young and so much to go to what he is now, a star.

“Then you see Dexter (Dunn) and now Toddy (McCarthy) do what they do … Of course you think how cool it would be to do what they do. But I have to keep building here. I am only young. I think

He has achieved so much since then and you suspect that the right timing is getting closer.

They drove six winners between them with heart snaring the last four races on board: Bella Danza, she is a Warrawee, Classic Mission and Caulonia Courage.

Rixon struck early and won the first two races on Royal Division and Max Delight.

The victory arrived on board the nine -year -old Marvel Max Delight was a highlight, given his sizzling 1min48.9sec miles. It was only 0.1 seconds the best outside of his career.

It ideally suggests a tilt on the $ 150,000 group 1 Len Smith Mile on 6 September, where the three best pacers in Australia – jump to Roem, Swayzee and Don Hugo – will not be there.

Hart and Rixon also fight it at the top of the NSW State that Premiership rides with Robbie Morris. Hart leads on 116 wins for Rixon and Morris at 114.

Hart also leads the Menangle Premiership, but only through one win over Luke McCarthy with Rixon right on 21 wins with Callaghan.
