Industry awards recognize Australian productions and local achievements in film production.
Screen Producers Australia has opened registrations for its 24th Annual SPA Awardsto be held on Thursday, April 30, the closing night of the Screen Forever conference on the Gold Coast.
The SPA Awards recognize outstanding contributions by SPA members to the Australian film industry and are the only awards given exclusively by film companies whose work tells Australian stories.
There are twenty award categories, including the newly introduced ‘Factual Series Production of the Year’.

Scripted
• Animation production of the year
• Comedy program or series production of the year
• Drama Series Production of the Year
• Feature film production of the year
• Telefilm or miniseries production of the year
Light entertainment and reality
• Light Entertainment Production of the Year
• Reality series production of the year
Factual or written
• Children’s production of the year (excluding animation)
• Games, XR and immersive media production of the year
• Online serial production of the year
• Short film production of the year
Business awards
• Services and facilities company of the year
• Pioneering company of the year
• Media Super Production Company of the Year
• Screen Business Export Award
Individual contribution awards
• Commissioner of the Year
• Lifetime Achievement Award
