“The seller is an entrepreneur, this would be his holiday home,” Mr Skene told realestate.com.au.
“He is a visionary who has worked exceptionally well with architect Harley Graham, probably the most renowned architect in this region.

“He has other projects that he’s getting involved in and he just didn’t think he was getting as much use out of them. That’s the reason for the sale.”
With a guide price of $12 to $13 million, 176 Leadbeatters Lane will break the city’s current price record “by a mile,” although that’s just a fraction of what properties of this caliber are offering for sale in nearby regions.

“Alstonville is definitely a city that is becoming more and more on the map,” Skene said.
“It’s 25 to 28 minutes to Byron beach,” he said. ‘There is talk of flooding [of buyers] of Byron, 100 percent.”

According to PropTrack, home prices in Alstonville have increased 13% in the past 12 months, and 66% in five years.
“Alstonville has a really nice community atmosphere. There are a lot of young families moving to the area because it is a bit more affordable.
“There is an incredible sporting community, schools, it is 15 minutes to Ballina airport and the beaches are also 15 minutes away.”
