It is currently owned by pensioned aviation workers Kennard and Denese Smith, and it comes with a 1410m runway in the back garden.
The Avent Aviators, in their 70s, lived at the building for two and a half years and only move 75 km south to Bloomsbury, where their area ownership borders on Lakeside Airpark, a small airport.
“We came from a farm in New South Wales and returned when we missed agricultural life,” said Mrs. Smith.
Mrs. Smith said they would like to live in the Golf, with 57 Freehold Land blocks and 30 leasehold commercial sites.
“We enjoyed life here because it is a friendly community and had great times with our neighbors,” said Mrs. Smith.
“We were very lucky to find a hangar house that has already been built, and according to a high standard in a chic Airpark.
“We are withdrawn without the hassle of building and noticing how difficult it is to get trade in Airlie.”
Mrs. Smith said they have renovated the building, including the addition of a pool of 20 m round with tiled environment, a patio and a spa.

She said that solar panels were also installed, and with the government’s discount they did not have to pay for electricity since installing the system.
“We have a water filtration system of the entire house-so that there is no more bottled water,” said Mrs. Smith.
“We have also installed a double lift for people with limited physical possibilities.”
The couple flies at least once a week to attend events, such as the Ayr Aero Club breakfast, or to visit family members in the south.
Although not everyone who lives in Airpark has a plane, Mrs. Smith said that some locals had a collection of vintage cars and others had helicopters.
She said that their recently listed home would suit an airplane lover, or someone who wants to come to the north before the winter and enjoy the Whitsundays.
“The pendant is big enough for both aircraft and cars,” she said.

The open living spaces
The property is for sale through interest and is marketed by Ray White Whitsunday director Mark Beale.
Mr. Beale said that the building was unique and ideal for buyers who were looking for a permanent house or a fly-in fly-out basis.
“This can be the perfect holiday retreat with your plane in the attack-this is a one-off chance to secure a Prime Hangar house in the heart of the Whitsundays,” Beale said.
