If you want a Pagani Utopia Roadster, you’re pretty much out of luck. The waiting list is several years long. But you can quickly get to the front of the line if you have many millions of dollars to spare and covet a penthouse in Miami, on top of a new building blessed by Horacio Pagani himself. By Bloomberg (via Automotive News):
Developed in collaboration with Riviera Horizons in Miami, the tower features two duplex penthouses priced at a whopping $30 million – a record for the area. Each includes an exclusive “Miami Edition” Pagani Utopia Roadster, a supercar that typically requires a three-year wait and starts at more than $3 million.
The structure, Bloomberg adds, is a “70-unit tower expected to begin construction next year in North Bay Village, a small cluster of islands in Biscayne Bay,” and is Pagani’s first venture into both the red-hot Miami market and the world of luxury branded homes. Its opening is scheduled for 2027.
You probably want a Utopia
Pagani hypercars are really something different. Drama, grandeur, crazy specs, utterly unique design features: Italian-Argentine genius Horacio Pagani has dazzled us before with the Zonda and Huayra, and his third majestic machine continued the fireworks. Not only does the Utopia have a captivating exterior design and Pagani’s signature futuristic luxury-sci-fi interior, the Roadster weighs just a few hundred pounds more than a damn Miata, while pairing an 864-horsepower V12 with a manual transmission.
Of course, you’ll want to fork over $3 million for the privilege of owning one of only 130 cars! In a sense, the $30 million you pay for the Miami penthouse actually saves you the money you would have spent on the Utopia Roadster. It seems like a 10% discount! So you absolutely should! Joking aside, this is a smart marketing move. Anyone with the resources to spend tens of millions on a Miami penthouse with Pagani’s imprimatur might rightly ask if a set of wheels could be thrown in to sweeten the deal. Heck, Horacio says he’s going to live there too, so you get him as a neighbor.
Responding to a trend
The development of Miami high-high-high-end real estate, the terms of Pagani’s sponsorship are not reported in this case. But the man is jumping on a trend. According to Bloomberg, Porsche and Bentley also have projects in the area, as does Aston Martin. It’s all “part of a wave that’s helping make car-branded buildings a status symbol in South Florida,” Bloomberg notes.
“Most of our customers already own Pagani cars and have access to these cars in different parts of the world,” Bloomberg quoted Horacio Pagani in an email response to a question about the building and the utopias offered. “However, for those who want to own one in the future, this project could become a source of inspiration and an additional incentive.”
Yes sir. The benefits will certainly be exceptionally attractive as well. Buyers will have the opportunity to travel to Italy for consultations Pagani art design team about adapting their homes. It reminds you of mega-rich owners for whom money is no problem maybe just After all, they get value for their money.
