She takes the reins behind four Harness Racing runners in Cambridge Raceway, with two discs for her employer Sean McCaffrey, and one for Todd Mitchell and Craig Sharpe.

Her first engagement of the night comes in Race 1, the Wednesday quiz evening in the clubhouse Handicap Trot, where she cooperates the promising three-year-old Trotter Ya Eejit Ya (Majestic son). The gelding is in a slightly simpler field after a solid fifth in Alexandra Park, where he did his best work after he had stopped in traffic. Back on his home job, where he scored two start ago, Johnson is optimistic.

“He worked well, there is nothing that suggests that he will not run a good race, but the 2700m trip can be a bit of a question mark for him,” she said.

“I thought he was really the last start, he probably blew out a bit at the end, but in general he went well.”

Later in the evening, Johnson Debutante Blinx will ride in race 2 – The Pie Night in the Skyline Lounge 28 August Mobile Tempo. The two -year -old merrys Furious bull is a first starter of the McCaffrey Barn and has the advantage of barrier one on debut.

“She did everything at home, she has worked well enough to suggest that she needs what is needed, but first we will just be looking for a soft run and a little training,” Johnson said.

In Race 3, the Tardina Stud – here for the mobile pace of the horse, Johnson works together with auctioneer, trained by Todd Mitchell. Bred to trot but now racing like a pacer, the son of Orlando Vici Comes in the race after a happy point in Alexandra Park. Despite the fact that he was brought in the second row tonight, Johnson sees potential benefits in the position.

“It probably suits him to be out of the early burn, so the draw should work to his advantage,” she explained. “Last start he looked to walk a good last half, he probably needs the speed tonight, he has a short sharp sprint.”

Completion of her night, Johnson will guide the experienced campaigner provider in Race 5, The Gobble & Go in the Stables Mobile Pace, for trainer Craig Sharpe. The 10-year-old son of Auckland -Reactor Walked a daring fifth in Cambridge last week and loaded home after he had settled back well.

“He raced super, Craig has him in a really good place. He is always like that, he needs the Race Run, but recently he really reached the line well,” she said.

“However, this field looks a bit difficult for him.”

While all four discs have their merits, Johnson Ya Eejit Ya assesses her best chance of the night. With a return to his home job and a more suitable class, he seems ready for a strong show. His chances reflect that – he is currently a favorite of $ 1.80.
