The Chicago Bulls defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-115, extending their winning streak to three on Thursday night.

Coby White dropped in 22 points, Josh Giddey added 21 off the bench and Jalen Smith sank two clutch free throws.

The Bulls overcame a 14-point deficit in the first half and also withstood a 13-0 run by the Wolves in the fourth quarter.

White hit a three-pointer from the corner to keep it a one-point game with 1:06 to play.

Then the Timberwolves made a pair of costly turnovers in the final minute, when Jaden McDaniels lost the ball out of bounds, followed by Chicago’s Tre Jones, who finished a layup at the other end with 31.1 seconds to play.

Julius Randle led the Wolves with 30 points after going on the injury report with left foot soreness, but he also committed a late turnover.

Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid each added 20 points and McDaniels scored 16 in the loss.

Meanwhile, White was whistled for a trip with 2:08 to play, and both teams traded baskets in the ensuing possessions as Edwards hit a shot into the lane, and Smith responded with a dunk.

It turned out to be the Wolves’ last points as the Bulls went on a 9-0 run over the final 1:06.

The Wolves were in big trouble, with Edwards getting into foul trouble early and finishing with five fouls, leading to 33 free throws for Chicago and 27.

Minnesota suffered its fourth consecutive loss of the season, while the Bulls won three in a row.

Both teams play Saturday night, with the Bulls hosting Boston and the Wolves hosting Golden State.
