Ten National Talenthubs have been identified in an important initiative to support the development of the most promising Junior Tennis Players of Australia aged 7-12 years.
These hubs will help build a strong national pipeline of rising talent, to support the long-term vision of Tennis Australia on producing future Grand Slam champions.
The environments are tailored to the Player development matrixThat outlines the most important skills, attributes, competencies and volume that are needed to develop players in every phase of their journey.
“After an open and transparent application and assessment process, which was available for all coaches in the private sector, we are delighted to announce these ten locations in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria as official national talent hubs,” Tim Jolley, main strategie of Tennis Australia and Performator. “Their dedication to the development of junior players is crucial for feeding the next generation of Australian tennis language.
“By working together with these hubs, we can build a stronger, more connected path that supports players, their families and coaches, while laying the foundation for success both on and outside the field.”
Tennis Australia works together with private coaching companies, instead of operating the hubs directly, offering continuous support and investments to grow the capacity and quality of the program.
Coaches also have the opportunity to use professional development support of Tennis Australia.
