This update also feels like a full-circle moment. In 2012 we launched our very first iPhone app, built by Andy, who is still at Buffer who leads the technical work on iOS today. That first app introduced a Safari -Bladwijzer, so that you can “add to Buffer” while reading an article. Twelve years later, Andy still builds the same app with extra support from Daniel, our designer based in Malta, who led the design vision for iOS 26.

Buffer on your wrist via an Apple Watch app
For the first time, Buffer is on Apple Watch. You can check your queue, follow your line or record an idea without going to your phone.

I use the iOS app almost every day. Usually it notes post ideas when something pops up in my head, or checks how many messages I have prepared for a busy week. Other times I will browse through the agenda to see everything at a glance. The little check-ins who keep me on course.
This update makes those moments more flexible for me. Saving an idea is now a tap of the lock screen. The calendar is clearer and easier to work with. And if I want to keep an eye on my stripes or post goals, I can do it directly from my watch.
None of this would exist without Andy, who has been with the app since day one, and Daniel, who has led the design system that is the basis for the entire release. Andy was built on more than a decade of history with the app, while Daniel brought a new perspective and vessel to the design. Together they made the app faster, easier to navigate and ready for what comes next.
Try the new app and let us know what you think. Your feedback has always formed the buffer and I look forward to hearing how this update fits in your workflow.
