Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Houston Texans Best #1: Texans -2.5 (-108)
Houston may have lost in week 1, but the defense was excellent in a 14-9 setback against the Los Angeles Rams. The Texans kept La up to 84 hurrying and Quarterback Matthew Stafford were under pressure for most of the afternoon. Their attack was rough, but we have seen enough of CJ Stroud and Company to know that it is only a matter of time before they get back to work. The defense of the BUCs struggled against the pass in week 1 and looked at Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Throw for 298 yards. Tampa Bay collected only one bag and three quarterback hits. On the other side of the ball, the BUCs still miss wide recipient Chris Godwin and attacking Tackle Tristan Wirfs. It can be said that Wirfs is the best OT in the entire competition. It is a small spread and Houston should be able to win with at least a field goal at home.
Tampas vs. Green Bay Packers Best Player Prop Bet: Nico Collins More than 76.5 Receiving yards (-114)
Collins was kept under control in week 1 by Los Angeles (25 Yards), but the story will probably be much different in this matchup. Tampa Bay was no. 29 in the NFL last year against the pass and saw Penix throw the ball over the field last weekend. They received little to no pressure on Penix, and not doing stroud of stroud yield even worse results. The bottom line is that Collins’ Week 1 starts the aberration than the rule. He went before 1,006 yards in 12 games in the regular season in 2024 (83.8 YPG average) and had 12 catches for 203 yards in a few play-off games.
