Alexander Bublik opened new heights in his remarkable 2025 campaign on the Lynk & Co Hangzhou on Tuesday, where he won his fourth title of the season.
The 28-year-old Kazakhstani defeated Spirited French qualifying match Valentin Royer with 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) in the final and completed a flawless serving week to become a member of Taylor Fritz as the only players this season who won an ATP Tour-Trophee without dropping.

By winning his eighth title at Tour level, and first on Outdoor Hard Courts, Biblik made sure that he will rise to a career high no. 16 in the PIF ATP ranking on Wednesday. He also joined World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz (7) as the only men with four or more trophies in 2025.
“To be honest, I always say that victories did not let me go through the roof and that losing me did not bring me to the ground,” Bublik said when he was asked about his 2025 campaign. “I try to stay stable. I enjoy what I am doing. I am happy that I am able to travel, play tournaments and stay healthy, and the victories are wonderful.”
Bublik struggled to find his rhythm in the early stages of his first Lexus ATP Head2head -Meeting with Royer, but he was ultimately able to take advantage of his trademark of unpredictability and fearlessly serving to prevail. He struck 21 aces and saved each of the two breaking points with which he was confronted during their 51 -minute collision, 51 minutes.
“He played incredible, and I didn’t expect that,” said Bublik about Royer. “He was close to this level during the tournament, and he surpassed it. He played well and I really had to serve and do my best to win. I served and hit some great photos during the game and I only won a few points.”
Marked by title runs in Halle, Gstaad, Kitzbuehel and Hangzhou, Bublik now has a record of 31-17 in 2025, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss index. He is only five victories removed from darkening his career-best count of 35 wins from 2021.
Bublik has also improved his chances of qualifying for the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time. He is three places up to 12th in the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin and then goes to the ATP 500 in Beijing.
Royer competed in his first ATP Tour -Final, after he had come in the second round qualification to numb top seeds and to surprise in the second round. Although he was unable to find a solution against Bublik, the 24-year-old Frenchman rose 13-year-old Frenchman after his breakthrough run to a career-high no. 75 in the PIF ATP Live rankings.
