Broward, Collier and Pinellas County win title at Mixed 55 & Over 6.0/7.0/8.0 Sectional Championships – USTA Florida

The USTA Nationals Campus hosted the Mixed 55 & Over 6.0/7.0/8.0 Sectional Championships, with a spot in the National Invitational on the line. Teams from across the state competed against each other this weekend in Florida’s final sectional of the 2025 calendar year.

In the Mixed division, this format pairs one man and one woman, combining their NTRP ratings to compete against similarly rated opponents. Mixed play adds a unique twist to traditional tennis and showcases the power of teamwork and complementary skills.

The winners of this competition earned a spot in the Mixed 55 & Over National Invitational, scheduled for March 2026, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Result: Broward County (Frank Veltri Tennis Center) finished in first place of the round robin with a 3-0 record. Escambia County (Roger Scott Tennis Center) finished in second place with a 2-1 record.
