Brittany Higgins has been ordered to pay most of the legal costs of her former boss after losing a defamation.
Linda Reynolds has sued Higgins because of a series of messages on social media that the former senator believed that her reputation was damaged.
Last month, the West -Australian Supreme Court discovered that the posts were defamatory and caused damage of $ 315,000 plus $ 26,109 interest to Reynolds.
Higgins was instructed to pay 80 percent of the legal costs of Reynolds, which still have to be determined on Tuesday.

The judgment also showed that Higgins offered to pay Reynolds $ 200,000 if a contribution to its legal costs in 2024 in the days before the couple went for the foreground, but it was rejected.

The social media posts of Higgins were found to wear a series of imputations, including that Reynolds had entered into a campaign of intimidation against Higgins, had wrongly treated her rape accusation against Bruce Lehrmann and was involved in doubtful behavior during Lehrmann’s demolished criminal process for rape.
Higgins claimed that Lehrmann raped her in the senator’s ministerial suite.
A federal judge who supervised a defamation that Lehrmann has launched against Network Ten thought that Higgins was raped by Lehrmann in the office on the basis of probabilities.
He has always denied the rape accusation and his criminal trial has been derailed by misconduct of the jury member.
