The Braves announced a few selection this morning. Outfield Jake Fraley was placed on the 10-day wounded list with a tense right-hand muscle in a movement that went back until 11 September. To replace Fraley on the Roster, Atlanta has selected Infielder’s contract Luke Williams. The team already had a vacancy on his 40-man selection, so no extra corresponding movement was needed to accommodate Williams.
Fraley, 30, started his career as a second round pick at the Rays in 2016. He was exchanged to Seattle in the Mike Zunino trade in 2018 and spent parts of three seasons with the big league marines before they were shipped to the Reds as part of the return for Jesse Winker And Eugenio Suarez Prior to the 2022 season. Fraley had flourished at that time in a solid platoon bat and in 373 games from 2021 to 2024 he hit a respectable .254/.340/.416. He just finished shyly of a 20/20 season in both 2023 and ’24, with 18 homers and 21 steals in the former campaign followed by a 19-gay, 20-Steal effort in the latter.
All in all, that all paints a picture of Fraley as a perfectly solid contribution to an MLB club. However, this year he suffered a bit of a malaise and only hit .232/.332/.387 for the Reds this year with figures that got worse as the season continued. This led to Cincinnati designating him for an assignment, and the Braves took the opportunity to abandon him from exemptions, given their struggles to find adequate production in the outfield this year.
However, Fraley’s role became a fairly small, however, Jurckon Profarthe return from his suspension in the early season and Michael Harris IIThe revival of the late season on the record largely pushed him out of the conversation for regular playing time. This year he only made nine performances for Atlanta and hits .304/.333/.348 over 24 trips to the album. He will now miss at least the following week because of this oblique tension, although with the Braves from the late season and the minimum time that remains in the regular season, it is possible that his 2025 campaign is now over.
Replacing Fraley with the active selection is Williams, who played in 38 games for the Braves earlier this year before he was downright for the minors. Now in his fifth MLB season, Williams bounced between the Phillies, Giants, Dodgers and Marlins before setting up with Atlanta in a depth roll for the 2023 season. He is a career .213/.271/.281 Slagman who offers virtually no value with the Vleurmuis, but has the bat, but but has the bat, but has the bat, but has the Vleurmuis, but but has the Vleurmuis, but has the bat, but has the bat, but has the bat, but has the bat, but has the bat, but has the bat, but has the bat. Diamond if necessary. Williams will participate Eli White” Vidal BrjanAnd Nick Allen In the bank mix while the Braves start the last weeks of the season.
