Infielder/Outfielder Luke Williams According to him, it has been sent to Triple-A Gwinnett Transactions Tracker on mlb.com. That indicates that he deleted exemptions after he had been designated for allocation last week. He has the right to choose a free agency, although the logbook does not indicate that he did this.

Williams, 29, had spent parts of 2023 and the whole of 2024 as a versatile depth piece for Atlanta. However, he exhausted his last option season in 2024, which squeezed him to the edge of the grid. He was done by distance and downright in March 2025, just before the season started.

He was called back in early May and spent more than three months in the active schedule, but without much playing time. He came in 44 games, but only got on the record 33 times, usually used as a pinchopper or defensive replacement, in addition to some mop on the hill. He stole five bases but only cut .133/.182/.200 when he could hold the bat.

He landed on the wounded list at the end of August due to an oblique tension. Shortly after he had recovered, he was appointed to open a selection place. He could have chosen a free agency this week, but will apparently stay with Gwinnett. According to the logbook, his directly took place on 6 September. Because he did not choose a free desk in the intervening four days, it seems fair to conclude that he will not do that.

If he is not added to the schedule towards the end of the season, he will have a chance to choose a free desk at that time. He only has a .213/.271/.281 line in his main class career, but has a decent triple-a-schuine line from .257/.339/.418 that goes back to the beginning of 2022. He can steal a few bases and has experience in any position on the diamond of catcher.
