The Braves sent right handed Davis Daniel According to the MLB.com downy Triple-a Gwinnett, according to the MLB.com transaction log. The tracker also indicates that Carlos Carrasco Elected free agency after he was appointed on Thursday for an assignment. Daniel had not been DFA before, so his removal from the 40-man selection drops their count to 37.
Atlanta acquired Daniel out of season in a small trade. The Auburn product was designated for assignment by the Angels, who turned him to the Braves for Minor League Pitcher Mitch Farris. Daniel spent a large part of the season on optional assignment to Triple-A. He has made three main class performances (two starts) and allowed six runs to nine hits and seven walks over 10 innings. The results of the Minor League have not been much better. Daniel threw a 5.32 run average with a Subpar 18.8% strikeout percentage up to 88 frames with Gwinnett.
Daniel 5.13 ERA in 52 2/3 innings is wearing parts of three main class campaigns. This is his fifth season in Triple-A. He has a 5.40 marking in 67 performances at the highest minor League level. This is Daniel’s first career, so he does not have the opportunity to refuse the assignment. He stays with the stripers for the rest of the season.
The Braves have taken over Carrasco to merge a few starts. He took the ball three times, but was tagged for 15 points while on average he was less than five innings per appearance. The 38-year-old Righty has an ERA over 7.00 between the Yankees and Braves. He will be limited to offers from Minor League if he intends to continue pitching.
