Bradley Beal has another reason to regret that Suns has been left for Los Angeles

The Phoenix Suns recently held their media day for the regular season of 2025-26, and it was clear how quickly the franchise tried to continue Kevin Durant. It was all love from both owner Mat Ishbia and Superstar Devin Booker – but with 11 new faces now in the valley – they would like to run the page.

Less discussed was Bradley Beal – the other major player who left this summer when he was bought – although Booker quickly praised him when he also spoke to the media. When he became a free agent, he quickly signed with De La Clippers, a movement that quickly failed an adversary after their own issue of the court became public.

Beal would have had a greater role if he had stayed in Phoenix.

Although they have said all the right things about wanting to sacrifice to win a championship, Beal was not really good at being attacking of the third option. It says that if there is something, Grayson all quickly became better suited for that role and ironically it might get a starting place in Phoenix this coming season.

By moving to the clippers, Beal tried again to prove that he could be the third option, although it is also fair to point out that the fit next to Kawhi Leonard (if he is still the start of the season) and James Harden is much more sensitive compared to the sun when he had to play with another shooting keeper in Booker. A problem that Jalen has inherited Green.

But if Beal had stayed in the valley – and it would have met the Suns and had paid him for two more seasons before he was forever, he would have had many more opportunities to impress what has become a reconstruction of roster. Even if it was off the bank, he could have been used in ways he has not seen since he was the man for the Washington Wizards.

It is clear that with Green also in the city minutes and fit would have been a huge headache, while it is nice that the Suns has a clean slate that are on its way this season. Even if they pay Beal for the next five years. But he would have been a year removed to become an expiring contract, and any chance to emphasize him could have led to opening more trading as his deal.

Further on Van Durant was the moment that Ishbia and the company decided to go in a different direction, and Beal also wanted to ride a ring logically elsewhere. Only he seems to have chosen the wrong location – and if he had put it in Phoenix for a little longer – the chance to get more touches and perhaps in a better place would be opened for him.
