Border Force Jawan injured in Ied explosion along the border between India suit in Punjab

A Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan suffered a serious leg injury on Wednesday after an improvised explosive device (IED) Explosion along the border between India-Pakistan in the Gurtespur district of Punjab on Wednesday.

The incident took place around 1 o’clock near the village of Dorangla in the district. A BSF patrol party carried out an area domination for the border fence during the night when the multiple IEDs with hidden threads detected well on Indian territory. On further investigation there were three IEDs on the spot.

While the burning and the area disinfect, a hidden detonation mechanism was accidentally activated, which led to a serious leg injury to the BSF Jawan. Anxiously, the team continued its operation, successfully secured the area and a great tragedy.

The Night Patrol was aimed at guaranteeing the safety of BSF troops, defense personnel and local farmers who often use the day during the day.

According to BSF sources, two Jawans have suffered minor injuries. The Jawan, who sustained a leg injury, was moved to a hospital in Amritsar for further treatment.

The BSF gave a warning over the entire 532 km from the international border in Punjab and suspended agriculture around the explosion area.

An officer in the security schedule called the IED explosion “unprecedented” and a clear act of disaster.

At the start of the day, a BSF bomb removal team arrived on the spot, performed a thorough search, neutralized the IEDs and declared the area safely for movement.
