Sharing a summary of books that I have read lately and if it is worth adding them to your collection.
Hiiii friends! How are you? I hope you have a wonderful morning so far! We do the usual home school -then here and I look forward to an F45 class this afternoon.
For today’s message I wanted to talk about books and some of those I have recently read (and stop) share. TBH, I have not spent much time reading lately. I worked hard by my IHP Level 3 -Modules – I try to end in October at the Equilife conference – and to be honest, many more scrolling at night. The days are so wild that it feels great to curl up with my weighted blanket and scroll, but the reality is that reading feels good and actually does something positive for my brain. I have downloaded about five new books in the hope that you will suck me completely, so I can be in my bookworm ways again.
For now there is an overview of the latest books here! I would like to hear what you have added to your collection lately and could not put down.
Books I have read lately

A golden summer – DNF
I had high expectations of thisAnd I have read and loved other books by this author. They are usually fast, airy, with decent writing and a Swoonworthy storyline. This was flat. I kept reading, hoping that it would get better, and I was just beaten through it. I finally called it about 70%. Ugh. I was quite irritated, but the reality is that the reading time is sacred and that I will not waste time reading books that I don’t like – there are too many good outside. 4/10

Good things happen to the lake. That is what Alice’s grandmother says, and it is true. Alice only spent one summer in a house with Nan when she was seventeen – it is where she took that photo, who of three grinning teenagers in a yellow speedboat, the image that her life changed.
Now Alice lives behind a lens. As a photographer she is most comfortable on the sidelines and makes other people shine. Lately, however, she has been itchy to a little more, and when Nan falls and her hip breaks, Alice comes with a plan for them both: another summer in that magical place, Barry’s Bay. But as soon as they settle, their peace is disturbed by the roar of a well -known yellow boat and the man who drives it.
Charlie Florek was nineteen when Alice took his photo from far. Now he is all mature – a shameless flirt, who manages to make Nan laugh and Alice Lang to be seventeen again, when life was easier, taking pictures was just for fun. Songing days and warm nights on the lake with Charlie are a balm for Alice’s soul, but when she looks up and sees his penetrating green gaze directly on her, she starts to worry about her heart.
Because Alice sees people – that’s why she is so good at what she does – but she has never met anyone who looks and sees her back directly.
Manifesto: 7 steps to live your best life
I have since been a huge believer in manifesting Secret Hype days. I really believe it works and believe that if you feel your goals and future before they happen, it will happen. (A million years ago I worked at Lululemon and they let us do a visualization of our entire day, start to end, 10 years from that moment. Almost everything I manifested at that time came out, including our two perfect girls, who at that time were only a twinkle in our eyes. At that time we also tried to get pregnant and was not successful.)
An interesting question is the distinction between manifestation and prayer, and if you can use them together, especially if you are religious. I use them very differently for me. I usually do not pray for things that I want to happen, but instead use it as a time of reflection and gratitude. I use manifesting to present the future and the actions I have to take to get to that point.
The author breaks down manifestation techniques and strategies, as well as short journal exercises. Although much of it was for me, I loved the memories and the book was concise and impactful. 9/10

I will have what she has
Together with the Twilight series, Chelsea Handler brought me back in reading “For Fun” Postcollege, and her first book made me cry of laughter. (It is all inappropriate and probably not PC of what I remember, so if you are an easily offended person, I would stay away.) When I saw that she had a new book, I immediately downloaded it, and it didn’t let me down. I strongly recommend the audio version so that you can hear the stories in her voice. This book was surprisingly inspiring and heart -warming alongside completely hilarious. 8/10
By Amazon:
There is a woman I want to be, Chelsea Handler thought as a child. She will be strong and confident. She will light up a room and spread that light to make others feel better. She will earn a living herself. She will be a survivor.
In ten years old, Chelsea opened a lemonade stand and realized that she would earn more money if the drinks were enriched. So she added vodka to her recipe and used her income to upgrade herself to first-class on a family holiday to leave parents and brothers and sisters in the coach. She moved to Los Angeles and was fired from her temporary job when she admitted that she did not know how to transfer calls. She played pickleball with the scions of an American dynasty. She has given a governor. She shared psychedelics with strangers in Spain. When she accidentally ended up with Woody Allen during dinner, she would not leave the table without asking him a very personal pointed question. She went on national television and spoke about having trios. She has never been anyone who kept himself back.
But this life of adventure and absurdity is only part of her story. Chelsea knows what it is like to really appear for her family – Canine and human, organic and chosen. She has discovered how she can spend time with herself, how to meditate, be open to love and how a relationship with dignity can be ended. She is a sister of the many women who trust her.
Surprisingly vulnerable and always outrageous, Chelsea Handler catches the antic-filled, exciting and joyful life that she has built-a life that the rest of us thinks, I will have what she has.
Ok, friends: what’s now on the Kindle? All the books you have devoured lately and everyone you know recommend? Can I please be on that list? Thank you Weluuuu
