Ex-NBA centers Bol Bol and Kylor Kelley, both in the league last season, will play abroad in the upcoming Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Bol will play for TNT Tropang 5G, the defending champions of the Commissioner’s Cup, the team announced on social media.
Bol, the 44th overall pick in the 2019 draft, appeared in 202 NBA games over six seasons with Denver, Orlando and Phoenix, averaging 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game.
Last season he played 36 games for the Suns, making 10 debuts.
Despite his rare ball-handling and shooting ability for a 6-foot-4 player, defensive limitations have made it difficult for him to secure a consistent NBA role.
Kelley will join the Converge FiberXers, another PBA team, writes Justine Bacnis of the Tiebreaker Times.
Undrafted in 2020, Kelley played in the G League and foreign leagues before spending part of last season with Dallas on a two-way deal and signing two 10-day contracts with New Orleans, appearing in 11 NBA games.
He recently received a buyout from the South Bay Lakers to continue the move.
The Commissioner’s Cup starts next month.
