The company had sold a total of 15,723 cars in the year ending December 2024 – 15,014 units of BMW and 709 units of MINI brand.
BMW Group India includes BMW, MINI car brands and Motorrad motorcycles.At group level, the company sold 23,842 vehicles – 17,271 BMW units, 730 MINI brand cars and 5,841 motorcycles in 2025 – the report said.
“2025 has been a record year for BMW Group India with the highest ever sales to date. We have crossed the 18,000 car mark and the fact that we are growing very strongly at +14 percent, above the average growth rate of the luxury segment, reflects the strong aspirations of the customers,” said Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India.
The company said it has launched 20 new products across the three brands as the diverse rollouts have secured the most attractive luxury portfolio, including key new-generation launches such as the iX1 Long Wheelbase, X3, 2 Series Gran Coupé, MINI JCW Countryman All4 and MINI Convertible. The motorcycle segment was further strengthened with the introduction of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure and the high-performance BMW S 1000 RR, the company said.
The 3 Series was the best-selling premium sedan for BMW and in its segment, while Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) recorded growth of more than 22 percent with 10,748 units.
The company says that the demand for BMW and MINI EVs continues to grow post GST 2.0 and the company has the largest market share in the luxury electric segment in India. According to the company, EV penetration in total sales was 21 percent, up from 8 percent last year with its leaders in the EV segment, both in the top and entry-level electric cars. PTI
