“That is when the federal government arrives and they assess a police department,” Porcher told Fox News Digital. “And they will make a series of recommendations based on what the police are not.”

“This is something I think that has long been late,” Jenn Pellegrino, chief spokesperson for America First Policy Institute, told Fox News Digital. “If you walk around the capital of our nation, who sees more than 20 million visitors from all over the world every year, this is the first impression of many people about what the United States of America look like.”
Pellegrino has been living in Washington for 15 years, DC and is discouraged by the state of the city she calls home.
“While the left says that there is nothing to see here, that the White House responds exaggerated to this situation, it’s about how people feel,” Pellegrino said. “They can say that the crime statistics are no longer what some are, but some rise, like carjacking. People don’t feel safe and something has to be done to tackle that.”
Washington, DC, is more dangerous than the capitals of many countries of the Third World, says Senator
Although cases of violent crime in Washington, DC are compared to 2023, reports of incidents with regard to real estate continue to stagnate relatively well or trending upwards.
“I think there is an important need for crime reduction in many of these big cities, such as Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC,” said Porcher.
In 2025 the property in the city will be 4%decrease, according to the MPD. In addition, there have been 2,926 reports of motorcycle theft this year and the total of 2,940 from last year was approaching.
“It’s time to get difficult for some of the smaller crimes to prevent the more violent crimes going on in the city,” said Pellegrino. ‘Because, to be honest, if you walk around DC, even in the middle of the day [or] A weekday you must have your head on a swing. ”

Pellegrino hopes that the efforts of the Trump government will set a standard for other cities that struggle with crime throughout the country, while the capital of the nation is a safe place to visit, live and work.
“These violent crimes can happen to anyone,” Pellegrino told Fox News Digital. “They do not discriminate on the basis of your politics. And again, whether you are a tourist who comes to visit whether you are someone who lives here, whether you are working in the city, we earn better than that. These are the United States of America. It is the largest country on earth. Our capital should represent something better than the standard it has kept in recent years.”
