Shannon Harrington, Executive editor for credit at Bloomberg News, sent the following on Thursday morning:
Everything: We are pleased to announce two new leaders for Credit Americas in New York.
Brian Chappatta Will come to us if the editor who supervises the Leveraged Finance & Distressed Debt teams. Brian has been with wealth since March 2023 and has global coverage that included everything, from the rise and fall of billionaires, to the American commercial real estate crunch and squeezed in the middle class of America, to how President Trump and his family benefit from the White House. Although many of you know Brian from his time that leads wealth, he cut his teeth on Bloomberg on credit. He spent

Almost five years in the Muni team about everything, from the bankruptcy of Detroit to the fiscal misery of Puerto Rico. As a columnist for the opinion of Bloomberg, Brian wrote extensively about high -quality corporate bonds and livered loans such as those markets injected during the pandemic.
Brian will work closely with Managing Editor Natalie Harrison While she supervises business and structured finances, primary markets and municipal financial teams. Building on the success that Natalie has already achieved when Credit Americas expanded to one of the busiest and largest groups of the newsroom, our strengthened management team will continue to increase the work of the group at a crucial time for the markets we are dealing with our shared priorities, riches and legal teams. We are also planning to post soon for a new livered financial team leader.
Sally Bakewell Become a senior editor within the Leveraged Finance & Distressed Debt Group. Sally comes from a five -year -old run as team leader of Finance Americas and delivers more than 80 large takes along the road. She led the team through the Post-Pandemic Boomdagen, the regional bank crisis of 2023 and the turbulent, although profitable, started to the second Trump administration. Sally is also no stranger to credit, after he started in the team in London in 2016 before moving to New York. During her first stint on Credit Americas, she treated the early days of the rise of private credit and broke news about the Epic Serta Simmons Creditor Brawl who helped to clear the way for the Cutthroat deals that have become common in the current market.
Both Brian and Sally are at home in what the credit makes so core for Bloomberg, and we count on their previous experience to bring reporters together in credit, finance, investing and wealth to tell the greatest stories in our world.
Participate in congratulating Brian and Sally and welcomes them to credit. Both start to meet with team members in the coming weeks before they formally start their new roles later this month.
