Block 2025 episode 46 recap: Ben and Emma’s garden win gets other teams cooking – realestate.com.au

It’s Monday and that means it’s time for the contestants to be a little rude about last night’s winning garden.

And with Ben and Emma stealing Mat and Robby’s victory via their secret bonus point, the saltiness has reached anchovy levels.

“He does what he has to do, but I don’t think he deserved the win,” says Alicia.

“Disappointing” is from Britt.

“They copied us – the whole room,” Robby says when he sees the couple’s wine cellar.

Mat and Robby discover the similarities between their wine cellar and that of Ben and Emma.

To be fair, even Ben and Emma admit that other gardens were better than their own.

When they see Mat and Robby’s, they call it “epic” and “elite”.

“Oh my god, this is so much better than ours. I think the boys will be happy that we won,” Emma added.

Correct.

“It would be okay to lose to this with a leprechaun if I said ‘wow’, but I didn’t do that,” says Mat. “It hurts me to know that we won and someone else reaped the glory. I try not to be sour, but in my mouth it’s like I have 50 lemons and I try to smile”

The bad feeling continues when Ben and Emma win a strange food waste challenge where they build towers of cookies, pocketing another $10,000.

It’s too much for Alicia, who has the idea of being part of the first team to never win a room, and on her birthday no less. She retreats to the caravan to sob.

“I don’t know why we’re wasting our time. We should have just walked away. It could all be for nothing. I don’t want to come out at all today. I want to be here alone. It’s the worst birthday ever,” she cries.

Alicia can barely hide her joy when Ben and Emma win the challenge.

Meanwhile, Han and Can’s relationship is so frayed that they accept relationship therapy from their builder Shan, who advises them to stay in their own way.

“You both become overwhelmed and you both become unproductive,” he tells Han. “Trust me. Everyone is right from their own point of view. You stay out and they stay in.”

Han’s construction father is impressed by Shan’s down-to-earthness.

“I have three sisters, mate, and a mother, and I have three daughters,” says Shan.

Mat and Robby, on the other hand, need financial advice as their landscaper

Shan is diversifying his business into the relationship consulting space.

Paal casually mentions that he came across $34,000 worth of unexpected technology while doing some work in their backyard, a fact he apparently failed to reveal to Mat and Robby last week.

“We always had a budget of $70,000 and we paid $70,000,” says Mat.

“He said it was due to unforeseen engineering, but that was not communicated to us at any point until this morning after it was completed.”

“We were quite shocked because he was almost 50 percent over the allowed money,” Robby notes.

Mat discovers that he and Robby have been given a huge bill for their landscaping.

Mat says he wishes he could leave the negotiations to Robby, but knows that if he did, Robby’s solution would be a shrug of the shoulders and an assurance that the money would come from somewhere.

And sure enough, there are images of Robby telling Paal that Mat is stubborn and is the one who insists that they will not pay the extra fee.

“He’s going to say if you mention $70,000, it’s $70,000 here, but I’m real, I understand that,” he tells Paal before walking away. He is not the Wolf of Wall Street.
