The Charity Regulator of Great Britain has opened an investigation into an African charity that was co-founded by Prince Harry, a week after the royal and other managers resigned because of a dispute with the chairman of the charity institution.
Sentebale, who offers support to young people in Botswana and Lesotho, has been destroyed by controversy since Harry Abrupt Dismissal resigned and said that the relationship between the board and the chairman was irreparable.
Chairman Sophie Chandauk later accused the prince of orchestrating a plague and intimidation campaign to express her.
Prince Harry has welcomed a new investigation by the UK Charity Commission after what he called “flagrant lies”.
The watchdog said on Thursday that it was up to both parties in “Direct Contact” with parties to collect evidence in his compliance case.

“The focus of the regulator will, in accordance with his legal assignment, be to determine whether the current and former managers of the charity, including the chairman, have fulfilled their duties and responsibilities under the charity law,” the committee said in a statement.
Mrs. Chandauka made several shots at Harry on Sunday in an interview with Sky News UK and described how the Netflix deal of the Prince was involved in a planned fundraising.
She also described how an incident with his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, became a source of friction.
Prince Harry was co-founder of Sentebale almost 20 years ago in memory of his deceased mother, Princess Diana.
He said he hoped that the Charity Commission would discover ‘the truth’ about which he resigned as a patron of Sentebale.
“What happened last week has been heartbreaking to see, especially when such flagrant lies have invested those who have invested in this shared goal for decades,” he said in a statement.
“No one suffers more than the beneficiaries of Sentebale himself.”
Carmel Gaillard van Sentebale said her team would cooperate with the probe.
“We will also continue to work closely with the chairman and the new board of directors to ensure the smooth running of the organization, which keeps our focus firmly on delivering the young people and communities that we serve,” she said.
