The Los Angeles Dodgers had future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw on the Heuvel to open the series against the San Diego Padres on Friday evening.

Kershaw threw six dazzling innings, allowing only one earned run on two hits. The left -handed set the pace for LA, and the Dodgers hoped that Blake Snell would do the same in his start on Saturday.
The dual cy Young winner supplied and threw six scoreless innings against his former team. However, the start of Snell was not flexible because it cost him more than 20 fields to get through the first inning.
The Padres were aggressive and tried to steal in second place several times, but Will Smith helped Snell to find his rhythm by throwing away three baserunners to take a trio of outs in the first two innings.
“There is a lot that I have to work honestly on. What I will do that about,” Snell said. “I will face them now and I know they are going to listen to the interview, so I won’t say too much. But there is much that I look forward to to see and tidy up.”
In his three starts since the return of the injured list, Snell has only allowed three points in 16 innings work. Sunday’s start against the Padres was reflected why the Dodgers signed the left -handed for a five -year -old, $ 182 million deal last winter.
“The results have been good, but there are things I have to do to do better,” Snell said. “It cannot be in this way forever. If I am not efficient, the zone dominates, the forms of fields I do not want them – the results are good, but I hunt slightly different than that. So I have to get better.”
Snell is opposed to the Padres next weekend, and it is clear that the Southpaw hopes to make some changes before his next start in Petco Park.
