The Chicago Blackhawks will be on its way to start their 2025-26 season and to open the campaign against the reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.
According to the NHL, the Blackhawks will open their season against the Panthers on Tuesday 7 October. The Puck Drop for the competition is set at 4 p.m. Central Time, and will be part of a Triple header of action on ESPN.
The Stanley Cup celebration of Florida will take place that night, complete with bannerrying and more ceremonies, according to the competition.
In 2022, the Blackhawks played against the Colorado Avalanche for their banner increasing ceremony in Denver and lost 5-2 against the ruling champions.
The New York Rangers will organize the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Avalanche will visit the Los Angeles Kings to complete the triple header on ESPN, according to the competition.
A complete release of 2025-26 has been set for Wednesday evening.
In particular the Blackhawks will be their 100one Anniversary season during the campaign. They have already unveiled special Thuisjerseys and a wide range of tribute is planned throughout the season, with a complete schedule that is announced shortly after the competition has released their schedule.
The promotion of the preseason will be opened for the Blackhawks on September 23 with a road game against the Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings come to Chicago for the first home game of the Blackhawks on September 30, with the Minnesota Wild (October 3) and the St. Louis Blues (4 October) that also comes to the United Center.
