Blackburn Rovers Midfielder Axel Henrikson has had a broken hand and will miss the collision of this weekend with Watford, Valerien Ismael has confirmed.
Blackburn Rovers still want to find their feet in the 2025/26 campaign and have endured a challenging start so far.
A 3-0 win over Hull City showed where Valerien Ismael’s side is able to play at their game. Unfortunately, their three other championship outings have ended in the defeat, which are also upset by League One -Kant Bradford City in the EFL Cup.
It has been busy on Valerien Ismael and his new look group to find results after the international break, but a player who cannot call the Frenchman is midfielder Axel Henikrsson.
Speak to the mediaBlackburn Rovers -Baas Ismael shared the last injury news and confirmed that the Swede suffered a broken hand.
Ismael said it is injury “Not bad”But ‘Too fresh’ To take a risk with Henriksson and as a result, he will not travel with the group for this weekend’s collision with Watford.
However, there was positive news elsewhere, in which Ismael confirmed that Adam Forsaw has returned to the training. He will continue to build his fitness, but with the exception of him, Henriksson and the suspended Sean McLoughlin, everyone else is available.
When will Axel Henriksson return?
This Henriksson injury news is not ideal, especially so Early in his career of Blackburn Rovers. Ismael, however, seems to be convinced that this issue will not keep him offside.
Players are regularly seen to attract hand tires to enable them to play small breaks and fractions, and with Ismael who plays the severity of this injury, it would not be a surprise if Henriksson does the same.
Providing the injury is not getting worse, or appears to be more serious than feared, the 23-year-old can only miss the collision with Watford on Saturday.
Ismael will probably be able to offer an update after the game, or in the construction of the collision of the following weekend with the city of Ipswich.
An important game for Blackburn Rovers
The Rovers hierarchy has well supported Ismael and they will expect results. The sign will probably be patient if his new group gels and in the ways of the boss are put, but fans may not reflect that sentiment.
Blackburn Rovers – Champion table
Ismael’s bad start to his term of office costs Blackburn a play-off place last season, and it doesn’t feel like much of a connection between him and the fans has been forged. This is made more challenging by the dissatisfaction with the board and ownership, but improved versions and results would be a long way to put this side in the right direction.
In Watford, Ismael is confronted with another side under new management with a new team. A positive result would indicate progress, but the defeat can show regression under his leadership.
