Mushroom killer in Patterson hardly blinked even when she was told that she was being convicted of life behind bars.

Patterterson, 50, did not owe the murders of Don and Gail Patterson, and Gail’s sister, Heather Wilkinson, but after a nine -week process a jury was guilty of three counts of murder and one of attempted murder.

On Monday, September 8, Patterson appeared at Victoria Supreme Court to be convicted. Dressed in a Paisley -Top and Tan Jas, Patterson seemed modest and blinking abundantly while her crimes were read before the court.

Justice Beale sentenced Patterson to the following:

  • Attempted murder of Ian Wilkinson: 25 years in prison.
  • Murder of Heather Wilkinson: Living in prison.
  • Murder of Don Patterson: Living in prison.
  • Murder of Gail Patterson: Living in prison.

Full sentence: Living with a non-conditional period of 33 years.

Patterson will be returned to the lady Phyllis Frost Center, where she has been convicted of spending at least the next 33 years of her life. Justice Beale said: “There is a substantial chance that you will be kept in lonely imprisonment for your protection for your protection.”

She now has until October 6 to submit a profession against her conviction or punishment or both.

Standing on the stairs of the Supreme Court on Monday, September 8, Ian Wilkinson said that he would like to thank the police, in particular the murder team and detective Stephen Eppinstall.

He said: “They did a professional, efficient and effective research into what happened during lunch. They brought the truth to what happened to the death of three good people.”

Ian Wilkinson has thanked the health workers and services who have treated him, his wife and Don and Gail Patterson. He said: “I all want to encourage to keep popping up and serving others. Our lives and lives of our community depend on the friendliness of others. I would like to encourage everyone to be nice to each other.”

Ian Wilkinson has also thanked the Office of Public Proceeds and Nanette Rogers. He said: “The court processes are a bit astonishing for lay people like me and we are grateful for their expertise, their hard work and their perseverance that this conviction has protected. I also want to recommend them for their kindness and compassion that showed us during this long process.”

Ian Wilkinson concluded by thanking the “many people” from all over Australia and the whole world who sent his family messages. He left the court and asked for the media to respect the privacy of his family while they continue to mourn and heal.
