Bitget expands global web3 -Educational efforts with ESN Luzern Partnership

The initiative was launched with a compelling “Game Night” event on 8 and 9 September, designed to introduce more than 100 students to the basis of blockchain in an exciting hands -on way.

The event, held in the Gameorama Spielmuseum in Lucerne, was a center of the welcome week for students from the University of Lucerne, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and PH Luzern. The two-day event was subdivided into an educational session that offers a fundamental understanding of cryptocurrencies and decentralized finances, followed by a broad game session with VR games, board games, card games and arcade classics.

ESN Lucerne is the local branch of the Erasmus Student Network, a non-profit organization that supports and integrates international students in Switzerland. It offers a buddy program, organizes social and cultural events and offers practical advice to help students feel at home in their new environment.

The partnership will continue to grow in the future. A workshop on “Defi 2.0 & the Rise of Real-World assets” is planned in the HSLU Informatik & Wirtschaft. This session will dive deeper into important topics of the sector, including the tokenization of Real-World assets (RWAS), Cross-Chain Defi protocols, the Swiss regulating landscape and advanced yield strategies.

In the long term, the initiative aims to extend the university network to other ESN chapters throughout Europe and to develop a structured curriculum for current crypto -education initiatives.

This collaboration with ESN Luzern is part of Bitget’s Global Blockchain4youth Initiative, a multi-year program that focuses on strengthening the next generation with practical blockchain skills. The Blockchain4yOouth program is intended to reach 1 million students and early career professionals by workshops, hackathons and industrial collaborations by 2026.

This event follows the successful “Crypto Experience Month” in August, who attracted more than 2,000 students on 11 world markets with events with educational conversations, NFT AirDrops and live crypto payments.
