Gaganjeet Bhullar was in a three -way draw for the lead after 54 holes of the $ 2 million Jakarta International Championship on Damai Indah Golf’s cock course on Saturday.
A five -time winner in Indonesia, Bhullar went 1 under 69 to a total of 11 under 199 years next to Wade Ormsby of Australia (67) and Scott Vincent van Zimbabwe (62), who brought back a brilliant 8 under 62 on the day on the day
Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana (64) and Poom Saksansin (66) were fourth at 10 with fellow countryman Pavit Tangkamolprasert, Steve Lewton of England, Stefano Mazzoli from Italy a further blow at 9 under 201.
Bhullar, the BNI Indonesian Masters champion of 2023, was left to restore a precious error on nine, when he doubled the hole despite the center of the fairway after another perfect ride.
“I just made one mistake at number nine. I drove the ball in the middle of the fairway,” said Bhullar, who had earlier rounds of 65 and 65.
“From there I spoke with my Caddy, whether it is a full eight or a nine, but at least I continued with eight.

“It threw on the back and just rolled around. From there I finally made a double bogey. That was a spot of the day.
“But apart from that, I gave myself a lot of Birdie opportunities. Today I hit 12 of the 14 fairways and 14 of 14 the last two rounds, so I drove the ball well, hit the ball well.
“The ball was there, I slammed him close enough to turn into Birdies. The circumstances were more difficult than the last two rounds.
“It was windy, especially on the rear nine, where we were confronted from left to right. That is why we had to change our strategy.
“Otherwise the third round is moving day and I am still on hunting. I am now going to work on my well. I will just try to roll with a better momentum, especially the 30-footer, 40-legs. So the job is one shot at the same time, that’s all I can do.”
Chikkarangappa S. and Viraj Madappa were lowered in the order, because eight other Indians in the field did not make the Friday -snit at 2.
The Japanese Kazuki Higa is still a chance of a spectacular hat trick of successive victories on the Asian tour after a three-under round of 67 on day three, only four of the leaders left him.
Higa won the 41st Shinhan Donghae Open and the Yeagger Tournament Players Championship in a spectacular September fourteen days.
Hat trick Opportunities
He has a chance to win a third consecutive victory – a scoop for the Asian tour with only 18 holes to play.
The international ranking deserves a place on the Liv Golf League. Vincent did exactly that during the inaugural international series season in 2022, and after another nice round, comes closer to a return to the franchise of several millions of dollars.
“It was amazing, what a blessing,” said Vincent who registered eight birdies on the day, including three in a row of the first hole and then again from the 12th.
“If you know that you have a photo of what you are trying to do, I have been able to do it more often today than the entire week.
“So it’s always nice to see that you can see the oicture a little and get it done. It was just a few times today.”
The 33-year-old won the international series Morocco in July and became second at the Shinhan Donghae open and is second in both the Asian Tour and the International Series Order of Merit.
The tournament is the fifth of nine on the international series, the elevated events that offer a path on the Liv Golf League through the seasonal ranking.
