This is just too funny to be true. A message on Craigslist in the city of Minneapolis is believed to be from a daycare center looking for 20 child actors.

Since anyone can post anything on the marketplace/message board website, it could belong to anyone, but given the intellect of the Minneapolis fraudsters we’ve seen in recent weeks, it could very well be real.

In their defense, they are at least offering good money for the actors they want to hire.

PJ Media reported:

Is a Minneapolis “daycare center” trying to hire child actors on Craigslist?

Either a fake daycare center in Minneapolis is actually trying to hire child actors to revive taxpayer funding, or someone is pulling a truly extraordinary prank on Craigslist users.

An ad posted on Craigslist a few days ago by “Help Us Daycare” actually advertises the desire to “hire child actors for a three-day contract (Ventura Village).” The listing claims the daycare has lost state funding due to “white supremacy” and claims it has to hire 20 child actors for a few days to appear at the fake daycare because “its ENTIRE customer base has already found new childcare services.” So when state investigators arrive, the list explains, children must be on site. The entry seems too insane to be sincere. On the other hand, considering the insanity uncovered in the investigation into Minnesota’s Somali daycare center fraud, perhaps this entry warrants a little government oversight…

The Craigslist listing rambles: “Because of this insanely bad decision, clearly in white supremacy, we had to close our doors immediately. We have to prove that we are a functional daycare to get the funding back. The problem is that the ENTIRE customer base has already found new childcare services, so we need to find a new customer base quickly.” I would have more confidence in the supposed functionality of the daycare if the person putting this together could actually write English.

The crazy list continues, “To help expedite this state vetting process, we are looking for 20 child actors for three days while the state is on site. We will pay an actor up to $1,500 per day. If you are interested, please send your child’s age and note what makes your child a special actor. Also include your phone number as we will be conducting quick phone interviews as part of the hiring process.” The tone is definitely quite desperate.

This Twitter/X user took screenshots of the ad:

It’s like something straight out of the pages of the Babylon Bee. If it’s a joke, it’s pretty funny. If it’s real, it’s just sad.
