Bentley just unveiled a one-off Continental GTC Azure Mulliner Qatar Edition. Within the latest Continental GTC series, the Azure sits above the standard GTC and below the speed. The Azure focuses on comfort, long-distance usability and refinement, making it the natural foundation for a site-specific assignment like this.
This car starts with a custom paint color called Desert Sand. In bright daylight it remains neutral and almost blends into the landscape. As the sun sets, the color noticeably warms, matching the late evening light of the Gulf. The shiny work and gold wheels give this version an almost monochrome look, but the imposing grille and some piano black elements on the rear bumper serve as a contrast. Qatar Edition badges on the fender flares remind us that what you see is something special.
Inside, the Azure specification already features comfort-oriented seats for long journeys, insulation tailored to thermal management and a multi-layer fabric roof that blocks the sun during the day and can be stowed away once temperatures drop for an open-top driving experience. This particular Qatari commission, seen here, features checkered accents on the headrests, further enhancing the already luxurious cabin.
This Qatar Edition also fits into a broader Mulliner push. Last year, Mulliner delivered several high-profile commissions, including the art-inspired Mulliner collection, the regional Mulliner Black Forest series and the Ombré by Mulliner paint finish unveiled at The Quail. Mulliner also introduced a bespoke animated Bentley Welcome Lamp, expanded interior material options and honored three historic Bentley sedans with modern Mulliner tributes.
Viewed in that context, this one-off GTC Azure is not decorative. It’s a precise application of Bentley’s comfort-oriented flagship convertible, filtered through Mulliner’s current bespoke capabilities and tailored to a specific place and time of day.
