Ben Rortvedt van Dodgers takes responsibility for the struggles of Tanner Scott

One of the best things that happen to the Los Angeles Dodgers as a result of the injuries that apparently destroyed all corners of the Roster this season is Backstop Ben Rortvedt.

The catcher was taken over at the Handelsdeadline in a Lowkey movement that brought in itself and a few Pitching front views in exchange for Triple-a Catcher Hunter Feduccia. With All-Star Will Smith and Rookie Dalton rush like La’s Backstops, not much in the team about Rortvedt.

After the respective injuries of Smith and Rushing, Rortvedt shown his strengths on the attack .294 in seven games for LA, and as a Framer behind the record. He recently showed Dodgers fans another great force that he can bring on the table with a huge leadership on Friday evening after Tanner Scott had allowed a Walk-Off Grand Slam in the 10th.

“To be honest – man, this is difficult,” said Rortvedt. “I feel a responsibility for some of this to Tanner, because I am the one who catches and calls. I mean, you can go back and look at it. Nobody is supposed to hit that field. Really, nobody should hit that field. That is a good fastball. Really went down with the field, had his eyes down.

“His batch earlier, he hit three stoves that were not that high. So as I said, I feel responsible for some of these late in the innings, so I feel pretty bad. But we just have to keep up, keep competing. Tanner is a great pitcher. He comes through and we all have his back.”

Rortvedt was behind the dish for both Meltdowns from Scott who took place last week.

Scott does not seem to buy that Rortvedt is responsible for his shortcomings, speaking frankly after the game about his earlier versions.

“A bad pitch gave up to a batter who can hit fastballs. It cost us again,” Scott said. “I’m tired of it happening.

“It’s terrible. I have the worst year of my life. I have to be better.”

Accountability to the largest phases, especially after such a heartbreaking loss, is a sign of a superior teammate. Regardless of how long Rortvedt should continue to fill in for Smith, LA can be sure that he is a more than reliable option until his teammates cure.
