After the recent announcement of Ice Hockey UK About the unification of the leadership of our sport and the launch of a new partnership with the NHL to deliver NHL Street in the United Kingdom, the UK Ice Hockey Foundation is proud to be part of this renewed, collaborative momentum.
Together we build a modern, inclusive and united development system to grow the game from Grassroots to Elite. As a registered charity (CIO 1197638), our mission is to increase participation, improve access and develop talent in all four countries through sustainable, values-guided programming.
This work is delivered in close collaboration with Ice Hockey UK” English ice hockeyAnd Scotland Ice Hockey – Ensure aligned paths and uniform standards in the United Kingdom. Together we are committed to building a structure that works in collaboration with clubs, coaches and communities at every level.
The core of this vision is a daring new one Regional development modelDesigned to ensure that every player, coach and family – regardless of where they live – have access to clear paths, support and opportunities.

Leads the strategic planning and delivery of player and coach development initiatives, aimed at U14 and older players. Manages the regional hockey development coach network and votes on local delivery with national performance goals.

A national lead for all things that the goaltents have – from basis to elite. This role is the goal convening curriculum, coach Education, Talent Identification and Goalie Performance Pathways from the UK.

Encourages youth participation for the age of 5-11 by Leiden ‘Try Hockey’ programs and entry-and-capinitiatives. Helps clubs grow their base, to build inclusive delivery of Grassroots and defend the GB -road about fundamental age groups.
Soon: regional opportunities
As this model grows, we also launch one series of regional development roles To support clubs and players on the ground. These include regional development coaches, regional goal convening leads and growth and activation roles – so stay informed for more options to get involved in your environment.

This new structure will:
- Connect national strategies with regional delivery
- Build stronger, consistent coaching and developmental environments
- Give goalkeepers, players and families the tools and guidance they need
- Champion access, pleasure and long -term success for everyone
How to register
