A congressman who likes to buy shares of Magnificent Seven has repurchased some of the same shares, but this time forgoing two frequent purchases.
Here’s a look at the recent transactions.
Cleo Fields bets on beautiful seven stocks
Congressman Cleo Fields (D-La.) has a history of buying Magnificent Seven stock with documents showing millions of dollars worth of shares were purchased in both August and September.
The Benzinga Government Trades page for Fields shows recent trades from October 23 through October 31 and includes some familiar names.
Here are the Magnificent Seven shares purchased:
Notably missing from the latest submission were Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) And Metaplatforms (NASDAQ:META).
Amazon was Fields’ sixth-largest purchase of Magnificent Seven stock in August and the fourth-largest purchase in September.
Microsoft was Fields’ third-largest purchase of Magnificent Seven stock in both August and September. Meta Platforms was the fourth largest of the Magnificent Seven stocks in August and the second largest in September.
The latest transactions are smaller than recent transactions, which could indicate additional buying based on prices, or a shift in which companies Fields favors in the long term.
Nvidia was Fields’ top purchase of the Magnificent Seven stock in August and September and was once again the top pick.
Fields’ next filing could be closely watched to see if he goes back to buying Microsoft and Meta or if he just focuses on Apple, Alphabet and Nvidia.
Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA)the other member of the Magnificent Seven, was not purchased by Fields in 2025.

Other transactions
In addition to buying more shares of the three Magnificent Seven stocks mentioned above, Fields made several other trades during the period from Oct. 23 to Oct. 31, according to the new filing.
Fields disclosed that he sold $15,000 to $50,000 worth of stock Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE:CMG). Fields bought shares in the restaurant stock in June.
The congressman also reported purchasing the following stocks:
- Celestica Inc (NYSE:CLS): $15,000 to $50,000
- Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX): $100,000 to $250,000
- Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturing (NYSE:TSM): $100,000 to $250,000
Fields has purchased shares of Taiwan Semiconductor several times in recent months, which could demonstrate his belief in the company.
Celestica and Netflix are new buys for Fields in 2025. Celestica could be of particular interest given the rare stock purchases by members of Congress.
Shares of the supply chain solutions company are up more than 200% year to date and are trading near record highs. This could be a stock to watch, as Fields has done well in the past by buying stocks that other members of Congress ignore.
