BCCI announces selections for the Australian Women’s Test and the Rising Stars Asia Cup | CricTracker

The Women’s Selection Committee has announced the India and India A squads for the one-off Test against Australia and the Rising Star Women’s Asia Cup. The multi-format tour of Australia and the Rising Star Women’s Asia Cup begin on February 15 and 13 respectively.

As for the Test squad, Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the group with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. The top class consists of a strong mix of Shafali Varma and Pratika Rawal. Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry have been picked as wicketkeepers, while Yastika Bhatia was left out.

ODI opener Pratika Rawal and all-rounder Amanjot Kaur have received first Test call-ups in the batting unit, while youngsters Kranti Goud, Vaishnavi Sharma and Sayali Satghare are the new faces in the bowling line-up.

Women’s test squad for one-off test against Australia:

Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Richa Ghosh (wk), Uma Chetry (wk), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Renuka Thakur, Sneh Rana, Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma, Sayali Satghare.

Chetry has been named as G Kamalini’s replacement in both cases India‘s T20I and ODI squads. Kamalini was recently ruled out of the ongoing Women’s Premier League due to injury. Chetry has played one ODI and seven T20Is so far. The three T20Is and as many ODIs will be played before the Perth Test.

Radha Yadav will lead the India A squad for the Rising Star Women’s Asia Cup 2026. Promising cricketers who have starred in the WPL such as Nandani Sharma, Anushka Sharma and Tanuja Kanwar have been added to the squad.

Relatively new faces like Humairaa Kaazi, Sonia Mendhiya and Jintamani Kalita will also be traveling. The tournament is played in Thailand in the 20-over format.
