The centre-back’s future is a source of much speculation as he enters the final five months of his contract with the Eagles.
Guehi could be sold this month, although it seems highly likely he will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season. From now on he can sign a provisional contract with a club abroad.
Liverpool are expected to return for him after failing to sign him on Deadline Day. Man City are reportedly considering a bid after Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias suffered injuries in recent weeks, and Arsenal are also said to be interested.
Bayern have been linked with Guehi since his failed move to Anfield, but their interest now appears to have been made official.
Bayern Munich is launching a transfer investigation into Marc Guehi
According to Sky Sports Germanythe club’s sporting director Max Eberl has made calls in recent days to convince the England international to join the Bavarian team this summer.
The club is stepping up its pursuit after Eberl reportedly met Guehi’s agent at Bayern’s training ground in recent weeks.
In the meantime, Ben Jacobs reports that Man City are “prepared to make a bid” for Guehi in January but hope Palace lowers the £35m asking price. Palace are open to a deal “on the right terms” but have set a high asking price due to the need to fund a replacement.
The report adds that Arsenal and Liverpool are “hungry for a summer move”, while Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are among the other clubs to have launched investigations.
