The agreement builds on a seven-year partnership between the two entities and reflects the bank’s continued confidence in Bartronics’ execution capabilities and technology-enabled service delivery. Over the years, Bartronics has supported the bank’s efforts in financial inclusion by enabling account opening, transaction services and access to government and social security systems through its local correspondent network.
Currently, Bartronics operates approximately 350 banking touchpoints for Maharashtra Gramin Bank, targeting rural and semi-urban communities through secure, process-driven platforms. Under the new SLA, the company plans to expand the network to nearly 600 touchpoints in a phased manner, with a focus on deepening last-mile banking access in rural Maharashtra.
The expansion includes the addition of approximately 250 new Customer Service Points (CSPs). The engagement is expected to generate approximately ₹30 crore in cumulative revenue over a period of five years, subject to transaction volumes and service adoption.
It is also expected that the program will create employment opportunities through the recruitment of local CSP agents, supervisors and field-level support staff, which will contribute to entrepreneurship and livelihood generation in the bank’s operational areas.
As part of the renewed engagement, Bartronics will continue to support Maharashtra Gramin Bank’s financial inclusion and initiatives by facilitating services such as account opening, cash deposits and withdrawals, money transfers and remittances, Aadhaar-enabled payment services, enrollment in government and social security schemes, and financial literacy programs for grassroots communities.
Speaking on the occasion, N. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director, Bartronics India, said, “This expanded partnership with Maharashtra Gramin Bank builds on our longstanding partnership and reflects the bank’s confidence in Bartronics’ operational strength and execution capabilities. With this mandate, we aim to further deepen access to secure, technology-enabled banking services in rural Maharashtra, while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. Our focus remains on operational excellence, trained manpower and measurable social impact.”
