Batavia, NY -Two $ 52,500 divisions of New York Sire Stake 2-year-old Pacing Colts and Veldings went to the Day of Batavia Downs on Thursday (August 7) evening and there were no surprises about who won those events as Krijt Gokkers all happily went home. And between commitment and overnight victories, Jason Bartlett won a total of six races on Thursday.
In the first of the two splits, fragment (Huntsville-The Show Returns) checked the field of the management before he left at 1-9.
Jason Bartlett used the fragment and used soft fractions of: 29.4, 1:00 and 1: 29.2 while the rest of the field remained on the pins and tried to keep pace. While the race finished, the excerpt began to pull away and he was clearly through three who entered the piece. From there, fragment was completely undisputed and pulled away by 4 ½ lengths at the light in 1: 56.2.
It was the fourth victory in five starts for fragment ($ 2.10) that is owned by Engblom Stable and Douglas Sipple and trained by per Engblom.
Hunt in the second event on the press (Huntsville-OFT the press) also led at any station before he turned back a strong bid for the victory.

Quickaway (Jason Bartlett) made the front of the gate, but quickly gave it a distance from the press (Tyler Buter) in the quarter: 28.2. Once in the lead, Hunt Off the Press led the group to half: 57.2 and three -quarters in 1: 26.3 while Quickaway continued to follow from the bag. When they came from the far turn, Quickaway left the bag and eventually pulled next to the press of the press while they are in a deep rack. But the press of the press was ready for the attack, remained on the task and maintained his lead to the thread where he won with a neck in 1: 55.1.
It was the second victory in a row for Hunt Off the Press ($ 2.70) is owned by Blue Chip Bloodstock and trained by Jared Bako.
There were also two $ 20,000 Excelsior Series Paces in the program.
The first was won by Southwind Iron (American ideal-Southwind Inertia) in 1: 54.4 for driver Jason Bartlett and trainer Kevin Lare. Owned by Frank Chick, Southwind Iron returned $ 3.00.
The second went to Johnny Wiggles (Huntsville-Wiggle delight) in 1: 57.3 for driver Jason Bartlett and trainer Jared Bako. Owned by John Stamatis, Douglas McNeir and James Georgakopoulos, Johnny Wiggles paid $ 10.00.
