A Bannockburn set that paid $ 10,000 for enjoying a renovator about Gumtree after moving the Edwardian beauty of Ararat and restoring his former glory.

Supplier Stacey Binnie gambled a gamble on the Welherboard house of 1928 and paid another $ 60,000 to move it to her family’s own ownership.

“It was exciting to get the ball rolling, but it was also scary because it was the mid -winter and the trucks got stuck,” she said.

“Fortunately they knew someone in the area and ended up with a huge John Deere tractor who pulled the trucks with the house.”

Only one window was a victim of the movement, although the double fireplace, being brick, unfortunately remains.

There was no plaster on the walls, only internal framing, so the couple had cut out his work with just 12 months to get a certificate of occupation while lived in a shed.
