Manchester United has explored the market for a new midfielder.
Ruben Amorim would like to strengthen midfield for the new season and set his sights on Carlos Baleba.
Baleba is seen as the signing of Amorim’s Dream -Middenveld. However, the restraint of Brighton & Hove Albion to give up their midfielder has made every deal very unlikely.
The seagulls are expected to demand for the Cameroon International north of £ 100 million. Accordingly, the club’s hierarchy recently shown interest in an Eredivisie midfielder.
Manchester United has aimed at wood as a potential target
According to Football transfersUnited “checks” Feyenoord -star Quinten Timber closely as a possible alternative to Baleba.
Timber has only a year about his current contract with Feyenoord, who is “willing to punish a sale this summer if they receive a suitable offer” to prevent him from losing a free transfer in 2026.
It is understanding that Amorim promotes a movement for Baleba, but United is concerned that a deal can lead to PSR problems.
The Red Devils have already spent more than £ 200 million on income during the summer transfer window.
Wood considered better than Baleba
Furthermore, different figures believe at United Timber “may be a better tactical fit” than Baleba.
The “Amazing” The Dutch midfielder is known for his rapid thinking and efficiency. The 24-year-old always tries to find his teammates in advance without taking too many touches.
Apart from Baleba, wood soil covers well and is very robust in his approach. He also protects the ball well and must feel comfortable with the physicality of the Premier League.
United, however, would rather have signed Premier League talent this summer. As such, they will probably continue to follow a deal for Baleba until it becomes untenable.
